29.03.15

Had a massive lie in trying to get over the hangovers me and Emily acquired last night! Only got up to cook burgers and chips. Bethan made us all smoothies and me Emily ate outside because the spring weather was actually nice for a change. Came home and had a long bath with a lavender bath bomb and watched Six Feet Under with mum before bed.

28.03.15

Had a sleepover at Emily's! Went over to hers at 6ish and got all dressed up while prinking before hitting the bay. We both got pissed and had a lush night. Emily got the attention of this one guy who seemed really rude to me but to each there own!

27.03.15

Sat in bed all day watching films. Was gonna have a quiet night in with long bath but decided to join people in the firestation last minuet after talking to Rory and texting Jess. Got a bit tipsy and Ben convinced me to go to Havana with a handful of others before a massive kebab wrap and heading home.

26.03.15

Went to the cinema with mum to see the Theory Of Everything. It was really good and because it was the last viewing the screen was empty and we sat in the premier seats. We then went for afternoon tea and spend a lovely mother daughter day together.

25.03.15

Worked with Jim from 9:30 to 11:30 helping him sort out his washing and clean his house. He didn't really need me to be honest, but it still pretty sweet being paid to spend time with your brother. Mum picked me up from Jim's and we went to Sunderland glass centre, which was really fun. I had never been before and even through the exhibition was closed (while they changed it) the demonstrations were amazing. I particularly enjoyed the glass blowing demonstration (second photograph) with Amber and Ian who ended up making a bowl. When I got home I watched The Truman Show in bed. Me Richard and Rory are trying to watch all the films on the IMDB 250 top films and its become a little race. Because I am winning its important to keep my head in the game. I am probably taking this too seriously. Me and mum ate pasta and watches Six Feet Under until bed.

24.03.15

Happy Birthday Jim! Jim turned 25 today and me him and mum had a lovely day together. Pancakes for breakfast, as is tradition, was followed by a trip to Alnwick Gardens. For tea we went to an Indian restaurant in North Shields for a amazing meal.

I don't really like including so many photographs for one day as I am only meant to be recoding 1 photo a day, filtering and compressing my experiences into one image, however today was an exception. I am using 4 because this was such a busy day and I want to document and remember all of it!

23.03.15

Rory went back to Scotland today and I got my implant replaced. I it hurts but its ok. I have had a extremely busy yet wonderful weekend with him and I'm a little bit sad I wont see him for another 2 weeks.

22.03.15

Woke up at Rory's and rushed to the coast to meet up with Emily, Jess and Ruby at Sugarloaf cafe. We ate lunch and sat on the seafront for a while enjoying the unseasonally nice weather. At 5 I met up with Rory and his family at the Quayside to go for drinks and a meal celebrating Rory's birthday and his sisters engagement. It was a quite early night. Me and Rory got back to his at about 9 and played Xbox until 11ish when his mum and dad got back in and we went to bed.

21.03.15

Rory came over first thing in the morning to help clean up and to be a host to his friends from uni who had come for the party and stayed at mine. In the afternoon we met up with his family in Tynemouth to meet his dad who just completed the coast to coast cycle ride. I went back to his and we spent the evening together playing videogames and eating pizza.

20.03.15

The party was a huge success! ...perhaps too much of a success...
Everyone was wasted, like, more wasted than we usually are. The music was good the atmosphere was grate and the drinks were flowing! Rory, the birthday-boy had a little (a lot!) too much and I took him home in a taxi to a disapproving mother. Never mind, I think he, and everyone else, had a lush time and that's all that matters.

(Also it looks like I'm picking my nose in this photo. I'm not. Just in case you were wondering)

19.03.15

After a day in the studio mum and Jim picked me up at about 3ish and after packing up the car and a cup of tea they took me home. Mum read the blog and told me a lot of my posts are bout food. I was not aware of this and do not want to be one of these bloggers who photograph every meal they eat, but fish and chips are important! they are the taste of home.

18.03.15

Today I was so hungover I needed to cook mac and cheese twice because the first portion simply was not enough! Dragged myself out of the house to go to the visiting speaker and tried to write a presentation I might be doing tomorrow. Talked to Rory on the phone about feminism which was cool.

I have felt awful today, but at least I made the effort to look/feel cute.

17.03.15

Went out drinking for St Patrick's Day with Courtney. Met two lovely Irish girls called Shauna and Rebecca and the 4 of us went from bar to bar before we lost them in Call Lane. It was a really fun night out, I love the friendships you make at the bar.

16.03.15

Today I started a blog. This blog! I have always kinda wanted one but was nervous about the commitment and the quality of my content. However when I was in Glasgow, right before I caught the train, Ruby mentioned putting this photo diary online and the whole trip home it was all I could think about. So this is what I'm doing now. Its early days and I'm not really sure what I' doing but I have the feeling I'm going to enjoy this...

Also If anyone is interested the name I chose for this blog 'If Only For Memories' is the name of a song:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbAJxG01KMI

I feel like it describes growing up and leaving home perfectly. Seeing as this diary is a documentation of me spreading my wings and entering the big wide world it felt appropriate.

15.03.15

Me and Ruby grabbed burritos before heading to Queen's St to catch my train. She asked what I was doing with my photo diary and asked if I was creating a blog. I had never considered this but I liked the idea.........

14.03.15

Had an extremely lazy day watching Americas Worst Tattoos and drawing. The whole reason for visiting Glasgow was to go see Papa Roach who were awesome! The support put on a good show too! I had an amazing time and for filled my wish of moshing to Last Resort :)

Afterwards we went to Cathouse, a rock club which was hosting the official after party. This basically meant if you showed your gig ticket stub at the door you got half price entry which was cool. At first the three of us were dragging but after an hour recovery and a couple of drinks we were ready to party!

13.03.15

After the Design Theory lecture at 12 I began my journey to Glasgow. I had two changes which went really well and I spent the journey listening to Streetlight Manifesto and eating hummus. Ben arrived an hour ahead of me so when I got into Glasgow we headed straight to Ruby's house. Once we got to her flat the drinking and dress up began: We had been invited to a babies and grandparents party for which anyone 19 or younger needed to be dressed like a baby and anyone 20 or older needed to be dressed like an old person. Me and Austin dressed as gran and gradpa and Ben and Ruby were our grandkids. Austin defiantly won the best costume! He got into character so well it was hilarious and a little but unnerving! I don't think I have ever laughed that much in my life!

Its been a wonderfully day and a wonderfully silly night!

12.03.15

Talked on the phone with Rory and Dad today. Me and Rory talked about the usual nonsense and then just as I was getting ready for bed Dad rang. We talked about lots of things but mostly music. He is going to pass on some records for me to listen too. I also recommender First Aid Kit and Streetlight Manifesto to him.
(This photo is legitimately taking a selfie while dad is talking about Jazz music)

11.03.15

Met up with John today, who had an interview at Leeds Met. It was really nice to see someone from home and we talked about Newcastle, friends and space pirates (Rory has been thinking about space pirates and got us both kinda interested... neeeerrrds.). I was taken aback when he offered to pay for my food. It was such an unexpected nice thing to do and I really appreciated. I got a Indian wrap thing and we both got pancakes and milkshakes for desert.

10.03.15

Unexpectedly joined Amy, Alice and Courtney in the Terrace bar in the union. It has been such a lovely day it feels like spring is already here! After a drink, some chips and banter we headed home and me and Amy went to trampolining.

09.03.15

Studio antics

08.03.15

Recently I have become obsessed with rice and vegetables! so tasty :) Finally watched the Blue Exorcist movie and overall had a very lazy day.

07.03.15

Got tipsy in the living room with Courtney watching musicals. We started off with Chicago and then watched Rent, which I had never seen before. It was really good but I think its fair to say I was not emotional prepared.

06.03.15

Worked late at uni so treated myself to a veterinarian pizza from lucky s. Lucky's do the best veggie pizza! Walked home with Alice who was also still in uni, after seeing her work and having a little bit of drama in which we thought all her things had been locked in a room with no way of retrieving them. Sat around watching bad TV before bed.

05.03.15

Stayed really late at uni but the walk home was mild and quite enjoyable. Nothing feels as good as walking home from uni late at night knowing you have done lots of work and can relax for the rest of the earning.

Also this is what I do with my hair now. This is a thing.

04.03.15

Finished watching The Devil is a Part Timer which Rory recommended and its now one of my new favourite shows! Starred re-watching Blue Exorcist to keep the religious theme iv been going for.

03.03.15

Tuesday means studio day! Me and Sinead went to the print workshop and I tried etching for the first time. I'm quite pleased with the results. My packed lunch was subliminally inspired by all the anime I have been watching as I made it cute as well as yummy.

02.03.15

This morning my house was in total disarray! There was this constant beeping noise which we couldn't stop. It seemed the toaster had blown the electrics and non of the plugs or the internet worked. Amy managed to sort out a set up so we got the internet back but it was kinds funny at the time.

01.03.15

I have had one of the most relaxing days I have had in a long time. Because I have worked so hard this week I didn't feel bad giving myself the day off. I napped, ate pasta and cheese and read scary stories on sixpencee blog (which if you don't know about I recommend you give a look).

For most of the day I sat in bed with the window wide open. I love opening the window wide when it rains, its something I have always done since way back when we had a caravan in Walkworth.

28.02.15

Same again. I sat for hours getting my studio done watching anime. I started and finished Ouran Highschool Host Club after Ellie recommended it to me and I love it! it is one of the weirdest and funniest shows I have ever seen and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I immediately wanted to re-watch it but had to resist.

27.02.15

Sat in the studios for hours watching Attack on Titan and getting on with my studio work. I got lots done and finished the series! It was so good, I'm glad I finally got round to watching it! I always start watching anime in spring for some reason, but now I have started I'm not gonna be able to stop.

26.02.15

Today was Laura's birthday so me, Laura, Amy and Charlie went for a meal and cocktails. Unfortunately Amy and Charlie left after the meal but me and Laura went into town, starting the night off in Revolution with even more cocktails and ending up in WIRE. We had such a fun night we have decided we defiantly need to go out more!

25.02.15

Design Theory, Assignment 1, Mood bored.

24.02.15

Met up with Sinead in the studio and got lots of work done. Then ,in the evening, I went trampolineing with Amy and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I have been considering taking up some sort of sporting activity as I need to to more exercise, as more of a de-stress than anything else. I think I might start going weekly.

23.02.15

I probably should have done work today but instead I went shopping and made a load of healthy snacks -

- Iced tea
- Infused water
- Frozen yoghurt bites (with fruit)
- Home-made Naked bars

22.02.15

Its been a very easy day. I had another good breakfast wit mum and Jim and was quite sad when I got dropped back off in Leeds. I channelled mu home sickness into a series of one-line drawings of faces and spring flowers, inspired by my weekend away.

21.02.15

Me and mum went for a little walk along the canal and popped into a few shops. OMG there is a comic book shop here! Neither of us could believe it! I per chased 'The Manhattan Project' and '100 Bullets'. Me and Jim had pasties for lunch from an organic bakery (because this place is hippy heaven and is full of places like that). I really love it here!

We then drove to Yorkshire Sculpture Park and the three of us walked around for ages. The weather was lovely, chilly but beautiful. I was surprised at how much Jim enjoyed the park and I was happy he liked it. When we got back to Hebdon Bridge we went to a Turkish restaurant for tea. The food was wonderful. Obviously I went for a veggie option which had tons of garlic in it which is always a good thing. Went back to the flat and watched TV with mum before going to bed.

 20.02.15

After my design theory lecture I hopped on the train to Hebdon Bridge to sat in a little holiday house with mum and Jim. The flat, called the Sewing Rooms, was lovely and we have already agreed to stay again in summer. Me and mum had an explore around the town before having a delicious pasta meal with lots of salad and garlic bread. I then had a bath with a lavender bath bomb I had bought in one of the shops. The bath was lush and deep and felt like a pool in comparison to the bath at home! Great day! xx
